I’m my experience some of them are pretty old at this point and don’t hold up that well but people are still coming out with cool stuff. It also gives you access to a large library of things other people have built.
LENNAR DIGITAL SYLENTH1 FINANCING FULL
It can build synths and effects from scratch, but as you might imagine it’s more technically involved to take full advantage of this. Reaktor is a fully modular audio processing environment. It’s pretty old at this point but for its age it sounds good and some day a brand new version is supposed to come out (they’ve been saying that for years, though). You get a fixed number of audio pathways but you can drop oscillators and filters on them as you choose and there are certain features which let them modulate each other. Zebra on the other hand seems a bit like Reaktor, but not completely sure.
LENNAR DIGITAL SYLENTH1 FINANCING PATCH
You can do it to an extent but it takes some careful programming for each patch, whereas Diva just has “it” on every patch out of the box. There are some similarities between analog synths in having these behaviors, though also differences in the exact sound, but the “vintage analog sound” is not easily emulated by a general-purpose digital synth like Massive or Serum.

They have similar features but a distinct “sound” - from “imperfect” oscillator shapes, tuning instability, nonlinearities (distortion) in the filters, lack of aliasing (compared to older digital synths) etc. I'm probably ignorant, but aren't all of these "analog synths" basically equivalent? You wouldn't be making a bad decision at all if you grabbed Sylenth but for me personally I would wait for Dune if you can only get one. Dune has MSEGs so technically you can get the exact same snap as Sylenth has with a little tweaking. Sylenth has snappier envelopes than Dune and tons more preset banks if that's your thing. Hive also uses way too much CPU, near Serum levels, and u-he doesn't seem to believe there's much of an issue. People said Hive was the Sylenth killer, and while I do think Hive is an amazing synth that can get close to Sylenth in character (particularly in Dirty mode), Dune gets so much closer. If I had to choose I'd take Dune without hesitation. I've done YouTube videos kind of showing this.ĭune will probably be on sale for $129 for black friday. They unison sounds the exact same and again, I'm very anal about unison in synths. Dune's XP filters are practically identical to Sylenth filters. However, I've done extremely anal testing with other synths against it, and Dune 3 sounds virtually identical in character and somehow is more CPU efficient despite having way more features (but obviously not when all those extra features are enabled, of course). Still one of the champions of low CPU use.
